After getting my snowboard mountain guide certificate in 2006 I founded Freeridecenter Austria in 2014 to be able to offer others what I enjoy the most in life: great powder days on the mountains! Our team of guides consists mostly of former pro riders who have more backcountry experience than others gather in a whole lifetime and we all happily share our knowledge and passion with you. Our range of camps covers everything from one-to-one coaching to hosting groups, from powder beginners to competiton rider coaching, from avalanche trainings to alpine touring and much much more.
Our home mountain is the famous Nordkette right above Innsbruck. But depending on snow conditions and your wishes, our guides choose the perfect location around Innsbruck like the 4* Freeride World Qualifier Resort Hochfügen, glacier resorts and others fitting you riding skills and expectations.
My buddy Matthias Pristach and me founded this plattform in 2010 in order to give Austria`s young and upcoming riders a chance to profit from the knowledge of Austria`s current and former freeride professionals. On 3 levels we coach the rookies from the age of 14 onwards all the way to the Linecamps, where it`s all about training for you freeride competition success.
Flying a hangglider is as close as a human being can get to being a bird. Gliding weightlessly through the air above the mountains in a birdlike position is an incredible experience, and thanks to our tandem gliders and our tandem pilot certificates since 2007 my buddy Wolfi Siess and me can take you with us and share this experience with you.
For those of you who wanna take it easy, joining us on our tandem paragliders are the right choice. Launching and flying is a bit more mellow with a paraglider, but what counts in the end is getting airborn!!
